David joined ACS as Director of Development in November 2009. Before joining ACS , David worked as the Director of Development and External Affairs at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities where he was responsible for raising $19 million annually. Prior to working at CBPP, David was Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Development at Equal Justice Works. At EJW, David played a critical role in strategic planning, annual budgeting, database management, and working with the board to help build financial support for EJW. David has also worked at the National Immigration Forum and Renew America. He attended Loyola University of Chicago where he pursued graduate studies in history and received his B.A. in history from Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, Iowa. David serves on the Board of Trustees at Briar Cliff and has been active with numerous other non-profit organizations.
