
Jeremy Leaming, American Constitution Society’s Director of Communications, joined the organization in March, 2008. Leaming spent five years writing about First Amendment issues for the Freedom Forum First Amendment Center, before moving to Washington, D.C. in 2000 to work for People For the American Way’s Communications Department. From January, 2003 until March, 2008, Leaming was the Communications Associate for Americans United for Separation of Church and State, where his duties included writing articles for the organization’s monthly magazine, Church & State, and posts for its Blog, Wall of Separation. His communications background also includes two years as an ad junct professor for Middle Tennessee State’s School of Journalism, and research for the late David Halberstam's The Children, about the Civil Rights Movement and those who led it. Leaming graduated cum laude from Marshall University in 1991 with a B.A. in journalism, and received his J.D. from the University Tulsa College of Law in 1994.
