Marlee Waxelbaum
Marlee Waxelbaum graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Georgia in 2009 with degrees in Political Science and International Affairs. As a Foundation Fellow, UGA’s highest academic scholarship, she traveled to the Hague to conduct research on the implications of closure of the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia and also performed research in Washington, D.C., studying the effect of the press on policymakers. While in college, she was selected as a UGA Amazing Student, served as Secretary General of the UGA Model United Nations Team, and interned for both US Senator Byron Dorgan and the UGA Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Marlee has deferred admission from the University of Virginia School of Law and will join their class of 2013 in August 2010 to pursue a J.D.
