Palak Sheth, Associate Director of Special Projects

 

Palak Sheth joined ACS as Assistant Director for Lawyer Chapters in August 2010 and is the current Assistant Director of Special Projects. Before joining ACS, Palak was the Program Director for the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA), where she worked with NAPABA members to raise awareness of Asian American issues and represent the interests of the Asian American legal community. These issues include promoting equal access to justice for citizens with limited English proficiency, awareness of voter’s rights through participation on national Election Protection campaigns, and advocating for diversity on the State and Federal bench. Prior to NAPABA, Palak was a post-graduate fellow at the Asian Pacific American Legal Resource Center (APALRC), a legal services organization that addresses the needs of low-income and limited-English proficient Asian Americans in the DC, MD and VA area on areas such as Family, Immigration and Employment law. Palak sits on the Board of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association Educational Fund (AEF), a non-profit organization that grants fellowships and scholarships to law students. Palak is a 2002 graduate of the University of Michigan with a B.A. in Economics and Asian Studies and a 2007 graduate of the Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
