Meera Trehan, Associate Director of Programs

Meera Trehan joined ACS in April 2005 as Associate Director for Programs. Meera came to ACS from Advancement Project, where she litigated election-related cases. From 2002-2004, Meera was an associate with the Washington, DC law firm Relman and Associates, where she focused on fair housing and fair lending issues. From 1999-2002, she was with Altshuler, Berzon, Nussbaum, Rubin & Demain in San Francisco, CA, where she focused on workers’ rights issues. At both law firms she worked on cases in federal district and appellate courts, including the United States Supreme Court. Prior to working at Altshuler, Berzon, she was a law clerk to the Honorable Stephanie K. Seymour, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. Meera graduated from the University of Virginia with Distinction in 1994, and from Stanford Law School with Distinction in 1998. At Stanford, she served as an Articles Editor for the Stanford Law Review.
