Anne Irwin
Anne Irwin recently completed a clerkship with Judge Nancy Gertner of the United States District Court, District of Massachusetts. She graduated from Stanford Law School in 2004. During her tenure at Stanford, she served as president of Stanford’s thriving ACS chapter and as a Public Interest Fellow. She participated as a semi-finalist in the annual Kirkwood Moot Court competition. In 2003, Anne spent three months in Montgomery, Alabama litigating death penalty appeals with the Equal Justice Initiative. In 2002, she spent three months as an extern for Judge Charles Breyer of the U.S. District Court, Northern District of California. Before starting law school, Anne worked with attorneys at the ACLU’s Reproductive Freedom Project and Cyberlaw Project. Anne earned her B.A. from New York University, where she was valedictorian of her graduating class. Anne is a 1998 Truman Scholar and a Rhodes Scholarship finalist.
