Seven years after that tragic day in September our nation continues to try to find a balance between our national security and individual liberty. With the election fast approaching we feel it is important to remember the challenges facing our basic civil liberties and fundamental human rights.

On Oct. 6 (Monday) from 6-8pm at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, in Room 424, Cadozo's American Constitution Society and Cardozo Students for Human Rights will be having a panel discussion followed by a Q&A session and a short reception. The panel is entitled, "Righting the Wrongs of the War on Terror." The panelists are:

Prof. Alex Reinert, Assistant Professor of Law at Cardozo and Counsel in the upcoming U.S. Supreme Court case Iqbal v. Ashcroft

Jamil Dakwar, Director of the ACLU's Human Rights Program and Co-Chair of ACS's Working Group on International Law and the Constitution
