First Monday in October: A Supreme Court Preview, Presented by the Nashville Chapter

On Monday, October 1, 2007 the Nashville Chapter hosted an event entitled “First Monday in October: A Supreme Court Preview”. The event featured distinguished scholars who discussed cases of constitutional significance to be considered in the United States Supreme Court's 2007-2008 term.
The speakers included Kathleen Sullivan, Stanley Morrison Professor of Law and Former Dean of Stanford Law School; James Blumstein, University Professor of Constitutional Law and Director of the Health Law & Policy Center at Vanderbilt University Law School; and Derek Shaffer, Executive Director of the Stanford Constitutional Law Center, and Of Counsel at Cooper & Kirk, PLLC. The discussion was moderated by Rebecca Brown, Allen Professor Law at Vanderbilt University Law School, and member of the ACS Nashville Chapter's Advisory Board; and Lisa Brown, Executive Director of ACS, gave the opening remarks.
