Slipping Through the Cracks: Does Sexual Harassment Law Fails College Students?
Apr 1 2008 - 7:30pm
Presenting: Sarah Warbelow, Human Rights Campaign Justice for All Fellow
As sexual harassment law has evolved over the past several years, legal structures have been articulated to protect students from unwelcome conduct in the classroom. However, many students find no relief within the boundaries of the existing protections. This sometimes occurs in cases of harassment based on an individual’s sexual orientation or gender nonconformity. Please join us for an engaging discussion describing instances of these and other related cases and current legal responses.
Wine and cheese and hors d’oeuvres will be provided.
