The USDoJ's Attack on Physician's Who Treat Patients In Chronic and Severe Pain? Consequences for Civil Liberties
Apr 3 2008 - 12:00pm
SU welcomes guest speaker Philip Chandler, Chief Civil Counsel to “Pain Relief Network” and founding memeber of the Puget Sound ACS Lawyer's Chapter
Mr. Chandler spoke about the Pain Relief Network. This is a network of pain patients, family members of people in pain, physicians, attorneys, and activists who are working toward a day when people in pain will be afforded the simple dignity and compassion due all ill Americans. To that end, PRN has brought suit in Kansas to get the 191 Controlled Substances Act declared illegal. There are also plans to bring suit in WA State to determine whether the state should be able to determine an upper limit of opioid use.
